I'm writing this review because honestly, I don't understand why people are giving this and similar sets bad reviews.I received an extremely similar set like this as a wedding present 5 years ago. I use my set every single day and have run them through the dishwasher numerous times. I'm an avid "old fashioned" kind of cook, and every piece get lots of use.
The only problems I've had are a couple of the handles have slipped off (but could be reattached.) However, my set doesn't have the bolt-looking things like the ones in the picture, so maybe the manufacturer has corrected the problem.
The second problem was melting of the spoons and such. But's that my fault for leaving them on top of an extremely hot 1950's cast iron stove.
If you're looking for an inexpensive set of knives and serving utensils, this would be it. I've given the set as a gift and if mine ever do wear out, will buy the same set.

Stored in a revolving plastic carousel, the five kitchen knives, eight steak knives, and seven kitchen tools in this 21-piece set are always within reach. Though the thin-bladed, lightweight, stamped knives may not be the ideal choice for professional cooks seeking top quality, they have stainless-steel blades and durable polypropylene handles and are dishwasher-safe. The blade edges have both micro-serrations and larger serrations, and therefore are touted as never needing sharpening. The five kitchen knives are an 8-inch carving knife, an 8-inch chef's knife, a 5-inch boning knife, a 5-inch utility knife, and a 2-3/4-inch paring knife. The eight steak knives have 4-1/2-inch blades. The seven lightweight plastic tools are a slotted turner, a ladle, a spaghetti fork, a basting spoon, a serving fork, a slotted serving spoon, and a pair of 8-inch kitchen shears that adjust for tension.
