This pot cooks more slowly than the Rival equivalent. The lid does not rattle, and food does not burn. I cook family meals in the crock pot 4 to 5 times per week. I think this pot works better than the 5qt Rival I had to replace after it got cracks in the rim of the crock from the lid rattling. Customer Review: pretty good

We have been very pleased with our new crock pot. We bought 2 of these for Christmas, one for us and one for a gift. We have tried about 4 recipes now and every time the meal cooks perfectly. The only criticism is it would be nice to have a light showing it was turned on. Other than that it is perfect!Customer Review: it's the bomb.. my desert island utensil

ok so if I were on a desert island, I would have all day with little to do so I could stand labouring over a fire. But this is a GREAT crockpot - good for small and large amounts, and cooks excellently. Great value for money. I only wish it were inflatable, unbreakable and portable so I could carry it around when I travel!! heehee Customer Review: Amazon packaging inadequate

Never got to try this highly-rated item, thanks to Amazon's ridiculous packaging. Yes, once again the goods were damaged upon arrival, several chunks broken off crock. No wonder--heavy crockpot in humongous shipping box, with about one-tenth the packing material needed to fill and pad the space. I've had this problem with dishes from Amazon, and I'm sad to see it extends to small appliances as well. I'm about to stop ordering these items from Amazon altogether. C'mon, Amazon, you can do better.
