The five heavy kitchen knives in this 8-piece set are forged from high-carbon stainless steel and have thick, wide bolsters for balance and safety. Full tangs run through classic three-rivet, poly handles for durability. The kitchen knives handle most chores. They are an 8- inch chef's knife, an 8-inch slicing knife, an 8-inch serrated bread knife, a 5-inch utility knife, and a 3-1/2-inch paring knife. To keep edges aligned, the set comes with a 9-inch sharpening steel. For myriad kitchen chores, the 8-inch shears adjust for tension and fit with the knives and steel into a heavy hardwood block that takes up little space on the counter while keeping everything within reach.
