Customer Review: Cook well, clean nicely

I'm a Farberware fan of 40 years now and the Restaurant Pro line is the best nonstick pan around. Although the handle is rather long, I think the longer length is necessary to accommodate the weight of this pan, which is pretty heavy. We only need to use a #4 (out of 9 settings) on our electric range for perfect eggs. Then, after allowing the pan to cool, we just wash in warm, soapy water and whalla - easy wash-up and good as new! This pan is amazing for the price.
We were so happy with this pan that we purchased the 8", 12", and griddle sizes of the Restaurant Pro. I don't know how long the nonstick coating will last, but it seems to be a higher grade than just the standard Teflon coating - with more of a silvery sheen to the color. As for the polished aluminum on the outside of the pan, I find it professional and clean-looking and don't have a problem with it. Other reviewers say they wouldn't hang these for "show" in their kitchens, but I can't see why not. They're quite attractive.
Just as an aside, I received a Calphalon hard-anodized pan set this past Christmas (purchased from an outlet store near us), and boy was that an education. Not only did the eggs stick to these pans (also used on low settings), but clean-up was not easy. We returned the set and the salesperson admitted that the new version of Calphalon anodized is much different than it used to be 20 years ago.
All in all, I think the Farberware Restaurant Pro line is quite fabulous and an excellent investment.
